Our overnight care service is especially designed to help you when you need to travel, whether for a long vacation, a weekend or just a short work trip. While you’re away, we will ensure your dog’s schedule remains unchanged and your dog gets customised, 1-on-1 care in a safe and warm home environment.
Overnight Care in Your Own Home
You can book care for your dog in the familiar and safe environment of your own home. This option is great for families with multiple dogs, senior dogs or dogs that get nervous in new environments. A verified dog sitter from our community would stay in your home and care for your dog as per your instructions. When a community member from our network accepts such a booking they agree to follow a detailed list of guidelines designed to ensure your home is treated with respect and as per your wishes.
Overnight Care in a Dog Sitter's Home
This is also a 24 hour service but your dog would stay at the home of a suitable dog sitter or dog sitting family from our community of experienced and verified dog sitters. We take many factors into account when we match your dog to a suitable dog sitter including the home environment, the dog sitter’s schedule and of course your dog’s unique needs.

Whichever one you choose, the dog sitter will give your dog the comfort and companionship they deserve in a comfortable, homely, stress-free environment. You would also be able to easily share detailed information regarding your dog’s schedule, walks, diet, allergies and other medical information and we will ensure the dog sitter has all this information before each booking.
What’s included in the service?
All your dog’s needs through the day and night are included. The dog sitter would follow your instructions and among other things, this includes:
- Walks
- Feeding (food is provided by you)
- Playtime
- Giving medication or supplements as needed
- Any other specific care your dog needs through the day or night
- Regular updates for you so you are stress-free!
Our Booking Process for Overnight Care Bookings
- You create an account with us, add your dog to your profile and send us a booking request. It’s easy! You can just start here and our system will guide you through the entire process – https://dogparent.dogstays.lu/register
- When you send us an overnight request you will need to share a start date + start time and end date + end time for the booking – if you do not know exact timings please block the entire start date and end date when you send us your request and you will have the opportunity to make it more exact at the time of confirming the booking
- Once we receive your request we either come back to you with questions or match you to a trusted community member from our network
- Next we organise a meeting so you and your dog(s) can meet the dog sitter. The meeting is always at the location of the booking (your home or the dog sitter’s home)
- After your meeting with the dog sitter we check if you are comfortable proceeding and if you decide to proceed we process your booking
- During confirmation, among other things we will also ask you to share detailed information about your dog’s schedule and the care the dog sitter needs to provide while you are away, so everything is 100% ready before your booking
- You will also need to make a small advance payment to confirm your booking and once this is paid, your booking is confirmed to both you and the dog sitter!
- Please note: no booking is considered confirmed till all the above steps are complete including payment. This is necessary to ensure the dog sitter’s dates are not double booked and also for our insurance protection to properly apply.
