Quick check-ins to keep your dog happy, fed, and cared for while you’re away.
Short visits of about an hour for feeding, playtime, potty breaks, or medication.
All pet-sitters are fully vetted so you can count on safe, reliable care every time.
Our Home Visits service is the shortest service we offer (between 1 – 1.5 hours per visit) and is designed to give your dog care, attention, and a little break during the day. A trusted member of our community will stop by your home for a quick visit. This time the dog sitter spends with your dog can include a short walk, feeding, playtime, or anything else your dog needs. This option is perfect if your dog doesn’t need full daycare but would love a quick walk, a midday snack, a quick hello or just a check-in during the day!
Some important details to keep in mind:
- You can currently book only one visit in a day (Multiple visits in a day coming soon!)
- You can include a maximum of 15 dates in a single booking request -if you wish to send us more dates you will need to send us multiple requests
- Each visit is a maximum of 1 hour long – don’t worry! Our community is flexible and would do their best to accommodate you but the visit cannot be longer than 1 hour 30 minutes
- For each list of dates we will first try to find a single member from our community who can visit your home on all the dates you have requested
- However, if this is not possible we will need to use the services of two dog sitters from our community who can together visit your home on all the dates you need – don’t worry, we will not use more than two dog sitters and we will organise a meeting with each of them before proceeding with the booking
Our Booking Process for Home Visits
- You create an account with us, add your dog to your profile and send us a booking request. It’s easy! You can just start here and our system will guide you through the entire process – https://dogparent.dogstays.lu/register
- When you send us a request we will ask you to choose a time slot for each date you want the visit and the dog sitter would visit your home between these timings – we will also ask for an ‘ideal visit time’ so that the dog sitter can do the visit at this hour if he/she is flexible
- Once we receive your request we either come back to you with questions or match you to one or two trusted community members from our network
- Next we will organise a meeting with one or both so you and your dog(s) can meet the dog sitter(s). The meeting is always at the location of the booking (your home or the dog sitter’s home)
- After your meeting with the dog sitter(s) we will check if you are comfortable proceeding and if you decide to proceed we process your booking with one or both dog sitters – remember, if we use the services of two dog sitters for your booking we will need to process two bookings, one with each of them
- During confirmation, among other things we will also ask you to share detailed information about your dog’s schedule and the care the dog sitter needs to provide while you are away, so everything is 100% ready before your booking
- You will also need to make a small advance payment to confirm your booking and once this is paid, your booking is confirmed to both you and the dog sitter!
- Please note: no booking is considered confirmed till all the above steps are complete including payment. This is necessary to ensure the dog sitter’s dates are not double booked and also for our insurance protection to properly apply.
