Founded in 2019 by Supriya, DogStays is a service for dog parents in and around Luxembourg, and we want to make it easy for dog parents to find safe, reliable, personalised, at-home care for their dogs instead of care at a kennel, boarding or ‘pension’. Whether it’s dogs, horses, or squirrels, our founder Supriya has always been passionate about animals and grew up surrounded by them. As a dog parent who had to leave her own dogs behind when she moved to Luxembourg in 2016, Supriya originally started dog sitting because she missed having dogs around. However, she quickly realised just how much dog parents struggle to make sure their dogs get the love and care they get at home, and she decided to solve this problem herself. This is how DogStays was born. 

At DogStays, we firmly believe that dogs are not ‘just pets’ but family members whose care is paramount. This belief is behind everything we do. Unlike traditional dog hotels or boarding facilities, we believe dogs not only need a warm and homely environment to thrive but also need an environment especially suited to their unique needs. To make this possible, we have built an entire network of individuals and families that love dogs, have experience caring for them, and want to offer them home care when their dog parents are away. Each member of this community also goes through a detailed verification and onboarding process, ensuring dogs are not only loved but also safe when in our care.

Anytime dog parents need to focus on work, travel, or other priorities, we connect them to suitable dog sitters (and homes) from this community by matching their dogs to dog sitters based on their dogs’ temperament, preferences, and needs. This ensures that dogs get the care they need while dog parents find peace of mind knowing their furry family members are in capable and loving hands.
